General FAQs
How long in advance do I need to
book my event?
We recommend booking one month in
advance for events held in June and two weeks in advance for all other months.
We can accommodate last-minute orders most of the time. However, additional
fees and/or conditions may apply.
What forms
of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, checks, Visa, and
MasterCard. Credit card payments are available with prepayment through PayPal.
What information do I need to place
my order?
To complete your order you need to
provide us: the date(s), time(s) and location(s) of your event(s). Please, try
to give an estimated number of guests for each event. We will also need contact
information for a person in charge of your event at the location.
How much do you charge for your
services?
We do not charge a fee as long as
the minimum purchase requirement is met. Also if your event is outside our everyday
routes there might be a mileage charge. Items on our menu range from $1.00 to
$2.50.
Can I choose the ice cream for my
event?
Yes, you can choose from over 40
items when ordering any ice cream cart. For full-service ice cream trucks you
cannot create a custom menu unless you pre-purchase your ice cream from us
ahead of time. Most products are sold in 24-count boxes.
What kind of products do you carry?
We stock over 40 different types of ice creams
that are all pre-packaged. Select name brands such as Good Humor, Popsicle, Blue
Bunny, Bomb Pop, and Blue Bell.
Do your carts use dry ice or
electric refrigeration?
The vast majority of our carts are
electric. Our delivered push carts are equipped with "cold plates"
that allow them to remain cold for 8-10 hours after being unplugged depending
on weather conditions. All of our electric carts can plug into a standard
3-prong outlet. We occasionally use dry ice carts if the situation requires and
there is no extra charge for dry ice.
When do you deliver carts?
We normally deliver about one to two
hours before the actual event start time so that you have the maximum amount of
time with the cart without needing to plug it in. During busy periods we may
require earlier delivery.
Can I rent and drive the ice cream trucks
Due
to insurance regulations, we do not allow anyone but our staff to operate the ice
cream trucks.
What is Buzy B Ice Cream Rental's
Policy on inclement weather?
Regarding delivery and set-up; Most
of the time if the weather is forecast to be adverse, but has not arrived, we
will leave it up to the customer as to whether to deliver the service or
not. If there is a bad storm in the area, we will call you before we
depart the warehouse for your delivery. If you would like to reschedule
due to bad weather, we ask that you call us as soon as you decide. In the
event we do not hear from you, we will assume that the weather is clear in your
area and will be there to set-up your event. In the event that the
equipment is set-up we ask that you observe the weather and the weather
forecasts and make every effort to maintain the equipment in a safe manner in
the event that it rains, thunderstorms, etc. If the weather is not cooperating
on the day of your reservation, please call us at least 2 hours before your
scheduled delivery time and we will be happy to work with you to reschedule
your reservation with no cost or penalty. If you decide to cancel and not
reschedule, see below for our policy on cancellations.
What happens if I need to cancel or
reschedule my reservation?
We ask that you reschedule and not
cancel your reservation. If you need to cancel or reschedule your rental,
please call us as soon as possible. We understand that things come up and we
will work with you to choose another day if you decide to reschedule. If
you decide to cancel and not reschedule, cancellations must be made at least 14
days prior to your rental date or you will be charged a cancellation fee,
unless your cancellation is due to adverse weather. We do accept weather
cancellations with no penalty. Weather cancellations must be made on the
day of your event before we make delivery. Weather cancellations are only
accepted if there is adverse weather in the area at the time of delivery
or are forecast to be in your area during the time of your event. If we
have already delivered your rental we will not accept a cancellation.
Should rain postpone or delay your
function, we will make every effort to work with you to reschedule your event.
We can also offer a rain check which is good for 1 year from the scheduled date
of your event. All prior bookings must take priority over any rain date
rescheduling. We will issue a full refund of your deposit if a rain check is
not the best option for you. A refund can take from 7 to 14 business days.
What is your policy on consumer
privacy?
We are committed to protecting your
privacy. We ask you to provide personal information such as e-mail address,
name, home or work address, and telephone number. None of this information will
be shared with any other vendor or a third party source.
How
can I get an ice cream truck to come to my neighborhood?
Answer: We can send an ice cream truck to any location you like!
Just call us to get more information about rates and let us know what kind of
ice cream you want!
I can't have sugar. Is there any ice
cream without sugar for me to eat?
Sure, we have many products that are
sugar free. They must be preorder.
What
if I can't have dairy?
No problem, we have a large selection of all natural frozen fruit bars, Bomb
Pops, snow cones and flavored ices that contain absolutely no dairy!
Do you rent Ice Cream trucks all year?
Yes, Buzy B Ice Cream rents their Ice Cream Trucks 365 days
per year.
How far will you travel?
(Jacksonville, Jacksonville Beach, Neptune Beach,
Atlantic Beach, Ponte Vedra, St. Augustine, Fernandina/Yulee, Callahan, Orange
Park, Middleburg, Baldwin, Gainesville, Kingsland Georgia)
Do you play that ice cream truck music?
Yes, we do play that ice cream
truck music and of course there are a few different ice cream truck melodies to
choose from. We also can play any song or music of your choice to fit your
